YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
SCOUTCARD is operated by Yash Sahoo and Toryn Ibarra in Virginia, United States. Contact scout.card26@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or delete your information.
Information we use
- Accounts: your email address and account identifier let us send requested sign-in links and manage your access.
- Athlete profiles: your name, sport, graduation year, and any position, team, school, accolades, highlight links, statistics, academics, events, and biography you enter let us create and display your profile. Optional fields can be left blank.
- Messages: a sender's name, reply email, message, recipient profile, and message date let the athlete read and reply to an inquiry. Sending a message shares those details with the athlete. We do not verify that a sender is a coach.
- Orders: purchaser name, email, delivery address, order reference, and payment status support checkout, payment matching, and delivery. We also record the order's terms version and the time you acknowledge the terms and adult-purchaser requirement. Delivery details are saved when you continue to payment, even if you do not complete checkout.
- Cards: activation information, public card identifiers, connected profiles, and activation dates let us connect a card to its owner.
- Technical information: our service providers process connection and operational information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and request logs, to deliver and secure their services.
Please do not put home addresses, medical information, identification numbers, passwords, or private schedules in your athlete profile. Enter a delivery address only in the order form. Keep card activation codes private.
What becomes public
When you select the publishing option and save, your athlete profile is accessible to anyone who obtains its link, including through an NFC tap or QR scan. Viewers may copy or share it. Information you put in profile fields becomes public when you publish, including any contact details you type yourself.
Your account email, shipping address, private inbox, and activation code are not displayed as public profile fields. Coach messages are available to the receiving athlete and the service operators who administer the service.
To stop public viewing through SCOUTCARD, uncheck the publishing option and save. You can edit your profile at any time while signed in. Unpublishing cannot remove copies already retained by other people or services.
Service providers and external sites
We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, Vercel for hosting and server functions, and Stripe for checkout and payment processing. These providers process information needed to perform those services.
Stripe collects payment details on its checkout page and asks for a shipping name and address. A phone number is not required for a card purchase; Stripe may offer an optional phone field for its Link faster-checkout service. SCOUTCARD's order form does not collect your full payment-card number or phone number. We pass an order reference and your email to Stripe to connect checkout to your order. Information necessary to deliver a physical order may be shared with the printing or delivery provider fulfilling it.
Some SCOUTCARD pages load fonts from Google Fonts and application code from esm.sh. Those services receive ordinary connection information when your browser requests their resources. The privacy page itself uses system fonts and does not load external scripts.
Highlight links take you to external websites. Those sites handle information under their own policies. Service providers may process information outside your state or country.
Browser storage
Sign-in uses browser storage to maintain your session. Checkout uses session storage for an order reference, email, and a fingerprint of submitted details to help resume checkout and prevent duplicate order creation during retries. Clearing site storage may interrupt sign-in or checkout recovery. Signing out ends your session in that browser.
Before account entry, we ask your age and, for teens, whether you have parent or guardian permission. We retain only a self-reported age group and permission acknowledgment in session storage under scoutcard-age-session-v1, normally for the lifetime of that tab session. We do not store the entered age or date of birth through this screen. This is not identity or parental verification.
Retention and deletion requests
Saved profiles, messages, and order records do not currently have an automatic expiration schedule in SCOUTCARD. Records remain stored until removed through administration or a deletion request, subject to records that need to be retained for payment disputes, order fulfillment, security, or legal obligations. Provider logs and backups follow their own retention settings; deletion from the active service may not immediately remove backup copies.
To request access, correction, or deletion, follow our privacy and deletion request instructions or email scout.card26@gmail.com with the account email and what you want us to do. We may confirm control of the account before processing the request. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, or activation codes. If information must be retained, we will explain the reason when responding. Sending a request does not itself instantly delete your account.
Children and teens
SCOUTCARD is intended for ages 13 and older. Teens aged 13–17 must involve a parent or guardian and have their permission before submitting information or publishing a profile. Do not create a profile for a child under 13.
We do not currently provide a verified parental-consent service. Parents or guardians who have concerns about a child's information, or believe an under-13 child's information was submitted, should contact scout.card26@gmail.com so we can investigate and arrange removal.
Messages from SCOUTCARD
Sign-in emails are sent when requested to access an account. The current website does not offer a marketing email subscription or automatic coach-message email notifications.
Policy changes
We will update this page and its date when our practices change. Contact the email above for questions about this policy or your information.
